- What happens when my user code expires?
Just enter another code from a new package of TYLENOL® PM and extend your My-Coach Sleep Workshop access for another 6 months.
- How will the makers of TYLENOL® PM use my registration information?
- How do I get an user code?
User codes are available on specially-marked boxes of TYLENOL® PM. Visit your nearest pharmacy and look in the pain relief aisle.
- How long is my user code valid?
User codes are valid for six months from the day you register. After six months is up, you can enter another user code from a new package to extend your My-Coach Sleep Workshop.
- Who are the sleep behavior experts?
A number of sleep behavior experts worked together to develop the information the My-Coach Sleep Workshop. They are a combination of professors, writers, public health educators, medical consultants and board-certified M.D.s who come from fields such as sleep, psychology, and behavioral health. My-Coach Sleep Workshop is based on the growing field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, an approach that aims to solve deeply rooted problems through goal-oriented, systematic procedures.
- How will the makers of TYLENOL® PM use the information I provide?
The personal information you provide is used to customize your My-Coach Sleep Workshop, providing you personalized coaching to help you improve your sleep habits. By uncovering the root causes of your sleeplessness, we can help find solutions for the specific issues and conditions that are keeping you awake. The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to sleeplessness is more comprehensive than other one-size-fits-all approaches, which is why the questionnaire takes about 15 minutes to complete.
- How much does the program cost?
Once you have an user code the My-Coach Sleep Workshop is FREE. The code, which is required for registration, can be found on specially-marked boxes of TYLENOL® PM.
- Why are there security questions?
There are security questions to make sure that the information you provide stays private. We understand that we're asking you sensitive material about your personal life and lifestyle, and we want to take the measures necessary that ensure your information is only used to customize your My-Coach Sleep Workshop and for nothing else.

- How long does TYLENOL® PM last?
The effects of the pain reliever and sleep aid in TYLENOL® PM generally last between four to six hours. See the detailed product information for dosing recommendations.
- If I wake up in the middle of the night, can I take more TYLENOL® PM?
Repeating a dose of TYLENOL® PM during the night is not recommended. Follow the package label directions for use.
- When should I use TYLENOL® PM?
Use TYLENOL® PM for the temporary relief of occasional headaches and minor aches and pains with acoompanying sleeplessness. Take at bedtime or as directed by your doctor.
- What are the main ingredients in TYLENOL® PM?
Each gelcap/geltab/caplet of TYLENOL® PM contains 500 mg of the pain reliever, acetaminophen, and 25 mg of the sleep aid, diphenhydramine HCl.
- How is TYLENOL® PM different from Benadryl® brand products?
Each gelcap/geltab/caplet of TYLENOL® PM contains 500 mg of the pain reliever, acetaminophen, and 25 mg of the sleep aid, diphenhydramine HCl. Classified as an antihistamine with sedating properties, diphenhydramine is the same active ingredient found in many Benadryl® products.
- Does TYLENOL® PM contain aspirin?
TYLENOL® PM does not contain aspirin.
- Can I use TYLENOL® PM with my existing medical conditions?
Diphenhydramine the sleep aid in TYLENOL® PM, can aggravate the following medical conditions. Breathing problems such as emphysema,chronic bronchitis and glaucoma.Difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland.If you have any of these conditions,do not take TYLENOL® PM unless directed by a doctor. If you are under a doctor's care for any serious condition or are taking any other drug, you should talk to your doctor if you want to know more or have other questions.
- What are the possible side effects of TYLENOL®PM?
TYLENOL® PM contains a sleep aid, diphenhydraminen HCL, that will cause drowsiness. Do not drive a motor vehicle or operate machinery after taking TYLENOL® PM.If you are under a doctor's care for any serious condition or are taking any other drug, you should talk to your doctor if you want to know more or have other questions.
- Can I use TYLENOL® PM if I'm pregnant or nursing?
If you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using TYLENOL® PM.
- Is TYLENOL® PM habit-forming?
The active ingredients in TYLENOL® PM are not considered habit-forming. Using TYLENOL® PM beyond the two week time period listed on the package label is not recommended unless directed by your doctor.If sleeplessness persists continuously for more than two weeks, consult your physician. Insomnia may be a symptom of a serious underlying medical illness. Do not take TYLENOL® PM for pain for more than ten days or for a fever for more than three days unless directed by a doctor.If you have chronic insomnia, contact your doctor to determine the cause of your sleeplessness and appropriate treatment.
- Can I take TYLENOL® PM every night?
Use of TYLENOL® PM products beyond the time period listed on the package label is not recommended without the advice of your doctor.If sleeplessness persists continuously for more than two weeks, consult your physician. Insomnia may be a symptom of a serious underlying medical illness. Do not take TYLENOL® PM for pain for more than ten days or for a fever for more than three days unless directed by a doctor.If you are under a doctor's care for any serious condition or are taking any other drug, you should talk to your doctor if you want to know more or have other questions.
- Will TYLENOL® PM make me feel groggy in the morning?
When used according to directions on the package label TYLENOL® PM is not expected to cause grogginess the next day. There are many factors that may affect how rested you feel on any given day, including the number of hours you sleep, the underlying condition for which you take a sleep aid, the time that you take a sleep aid, and any other medications you may be taking.
- Can TYLENOL® PM make me feel restless, nervous, or sleepless?
Diphenhydramine, the sleep aid in TYLENOL® PM, causes drowsiness and helps the vast majority of people who take it to fall asleep. Some individuals have reported transient restlessness and nervousness while taking TYLENOL® PM which disappears when the product is discontinued.
- Can I drink alcohol and take TYLENOL® PM?
Labeling for all OTC pain relievers, including Tylenol, contains an alcohol warning. Labeling for all TYLENOL® products reads as follows:"If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage."Additionally, the labeling for all products containing an antihistamine (TYLENOL® PM) advises to avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this product.
- Can I take TYLENOL® PM with other medications?
Do not take TYLENOL® PM if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers without first consulting your doctor. Do not use TYLENOL® PM with other products containing acetaminophen.If you are under a doctor's care for any serious condition or are taking any other drug, you should talk to your doctor if you want to know more or have other questions.
- Can I take TYLENOL® PM at night if I took a TYLENOL® product during the day?
Two TYLENOL® PM contain 1000 mg of acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol, in addition to the sleep aid diphenhydramine. If you need to take TYLENOL® during the day, the maximum daily dose of acetaminophen is 4000 mg per 24 hours.
